This photoshoot made my heart happy in countless ways. It's been one of those that took months of planning, communicating, location scouting, yet in the end we just went with the flow, changing plans last minute. Roxanne is an incredible dancer, and catching every movement expressing her passion was pure privilege.
That day it was crazy hot outside and going to the initially picked out location wouldn't have made much sense. We were still going to try, but as we stepped out of Roxanne's dance studio my sweet assistant pointed out the stairway. And sure enough, it was exactly what I envisioned and in perfect accordance with my mood board.
The sun shone through the windows, Roxanne's playlist set the tone as she began to embrace every melody, and magic was created...
